- Reserve
equipment early to ensure availability.
- Ask to
see rental equipment.
- Ask to
see pictures of rental company events.
- Ask for
references.
- Ask about
additional fees or charges.
- Request
emergency phone numbers.
- Request
proposals, sign them, and request a signed copy. Remember, a contract
is only good with both parties' signature.
- Ask about
damage waivers. Damage waivers are not insurance policies, but they
will cover any accidental damage to equipment.
- Ask if
you will deal directly with the same coordinator throughout you event
to help alleviate confusion.
- Ask if
they will help you find something you need if they do not carry it.
- If you
are referred by someone, please tell your coordinator, a reputable rental
company will thank them.
- Always
pay a deposit to reserve equipment, most companies will not "hold"
equipment without it.
- Ask questions.
The rental company should be very willing to answer them, after all,
they are the ones with the answers.
